The KCLB had an amazing showing at this years 84th NBC World Series.
The Kansas Cannons kicked us off in the first week of a tournament. Posting a 3-1 record. Pool champions, ultimately losing to the Colorado Cyclones. The Cannons placed 9th overall. 4th in winning percentage, 2nd in Team Pitching (ERA) and 7th in overall Team Batting Average at .307.
The Wellington Heat took 3rd place in Championship Week. Posting a 4-1 record. Recording quality wins over Jayhawk League Champions, Hays Larks and also Pacific International League Champions Seattle Cheney Studs. Finally losing in the semi-finals to the NJCAA National Team. The Heat were 3rd in winning percentage, 6th in Team Pitching (ERA) and 6th in overall Team Batting Average at .330.
The KCLB posted a 7-2 overall record. (.778) In comparison the Jayhawk League posted a 6-6 (.500) overall record, and the Sunflower League posted a 8-4 (.667) overall record. Both the Jayhawk and Sunflower had 4 teams in the tournament compared to our 2 teams.
The KCLB also had 20 players represented on different teams inside of the NBC who played key roles in other team's success.
