The All-Sunflower Slate baseball team is comprised of players from Kansas’ small colleges — Newman, four schools from the MIAA, 10 schools from the KCAC and the Jayhawk Conference:
Coach of the Year: Adrian Dinkel, Sterling (Dinkel led Sterling to the KCAC Tournament championship and the NAIA World Series)
Player of the Year: Brylie Ware, Neosho County
Pitcher of the Year: Nick Silva, Washburn
Catcher: David Gauntt, sr., Washburn (First Ichabod to win MIAA Player of the Year hit .347 with 17 home runs)
First base: Evan Koehler, sr., Emporia State (Bishop Carroll, Butler product hit .354 with 22 home runs)
Second base: Jacob Hamerle, jr., Newman (Heartland Conference Golden Glove winner)
Third base: Brylie Ware, fr., Neosho County (Oklahoma signee was first NJCAA Triple Crown winner since 1985)
Shortstop: Abdiel Alicea, so., Cowley (Highlight-reel fielding plus .327 batting average)
Outfield: Manny Deleon, sr., Tabor (KCAC POY, led Tabor to share of fifth straight KCAC regular-season title)
Outfield: Caden Doga, fr., Hutchinson (Hit 29 home runs in the regular season)
Outfield: Tyler Bugner, jr., Newman (Heartland POY led league in batting average, stolen bases)
Pitcher: Carson Larue, so., Cowley (Oklahoma State transfer named Jayhawk East Pitcher of the Year, signed with Houston)
Pitcher: Kade Wagner, jr., Sterling (Wagner’s 1.53 ERA was sixth-best in nation)
Pitcher: Nick Silva, jr. Washburn (Went 8-0 and led MIAA with 2.39 ERA)
Relief pitcher: Ryan McKay, sr., Pittsburg State (Maize High product is Pitt State’s career saves leader and MIAA’s career appearances leader)
Utility/DH: Marvin Malone, so., Colby (Malone hit .473 with 19 home runs and 101 RBIs)
